Process

From empty corner to thriving aquascape.

One brief. One plan. One studio guiding you through the parts where beginners usually get lost.

  1. I

    Tell us about your space

You fill out a detailed brief, room photos, budget, vibe, maintenance tolerance, lifestyle. No fishkeeping experience required. The brief is the silent consultation.

  2. II

    We design the aquascape

We design a tank that fits your space and stays within your budget: equipment, plants, livestock, and a setup timeline. Every recommendation is verified for compatibility before it lands in your inbox.

  3. III

    You order the materials

You purchase the tank, equipment, plants, and supplies directly. No markup, no middleman, and you keep every receipt. We can coordinate ordering as an add-on if you'd rather not think about it.

  4. IV

    We install or guide setup

Once everything arrives, we either come on-site (Seattle area) or walk you through it virtually. Hardscape placement, planting, equipment setup, and a walkthrough of the first month.

  5. V

    Stewardship through the first month

The first weeks are usually the most confusing: cycling, plant melt, cloudy water. Optional 30-day support gets you photo check-ins, parameter guidance, and answers when you need them.

Principles

What you can expect from us.

No equipment markup

You see what we see. You pay what we'd pay. We charge for taste and labor, not product margin.

Freshwater planted only

We specialize in low-tech freshwater planted setups. For advanced reef, we'll refer you to a specialist.

Verified before we send

Every stocking and equipment recommendation is sanity-checked before it lands in your plan. Never a guess.
